I was very impressed with the clarity, speed, brightness, and colors produced. The square pin is positive and the round one is negative. NOTE: If you do not have a mini HDMI cable, you can use the composite 'TV' pins located above the usb power port and solder a small barrel plug onto the pins. I’ve included pixels, text (of varying sizes), lines, rectangles, triangles, squares, graphs, screen rotation, and text on a path. The SeedStudio 2.8' TfT display for Arduino will use 8 wires to connect the display to the RasPi using the SPI interface. The following script gives some idea about what it can do. I’ve used GFX with mono displays such as SSD1306 and soon got the TFT display working. The SD library is included in the basic Arduino set. (The last 2 are not essential but include some interesting examples). Other examples include interactive games, controlling thermostats, etc. You can build a Timer project where the user can set the time right on the LCD.
In the end I installed several libraries (with all dependencies): Adafruit GFX, Adafruit TFTLCD, Adafruit TouchScreen, Adafruit ILI9341, MCUFRIEND_kbv and SPFD5408-master. You can find a TFT Touch display best suited to HMIs where the user can do specific settings or make some selections.
